The common name columbine comes from the Latin word columba, which means dove. When the blossom is flipped over, some people see a ring of doves drinking at a fountain.

The Columbine is so beautiful! And how cute is Boo?! My Stormy used to have a friend who looked much like that in our "old" neighborhood. He would tag along with us on our walks! :) You sparked some great memories for me!

ReplyDeleteKz - maybe the kitty following you was Boo's Daddy. My niece owns Boo's Mommy who is a full bread himalayan and she got out one night. A few months later ALONG CAME BOO!
We have a few rescue kitties in the garden so it is wonderful to share their unique personality with you all through photos.
I'm thinking I could use a lesson in how to create those collages. Your whole blog is just peaceful, beautiful, and salve for the spirit!
