Here is some info on catnip:
Catnip (Nepatia cataria) is a plant native to North America . Fresh leaves of the catnip plant have a mint-like scent, while dried leaves smell like alfalfa. In all members of the cat family, contact with this plant causes a peculiar reaction called the catnip response. The primary active compound is catnip, nepetalactone, is chemically similar to hallucinogens. Catnip is not toxic to pets.
Random Shots of the Catnip Frenzies this morning off the back bedroom garden.
I maybe a Cat Lover but the true reason I grabbed the Fuji was to take a few shots of the dark holly hock perennial that has bloomed in the wood line that surrounds my master bedroom garden. These seeds were dropped in there last year and I am enjoying the blooms tremendously. Low maintenance and long bloomers these native plants provide.
Off to enjoy the day and get working in the garden.
