I grew one from seed, and have been keeping it alive for when I move further north. I'm probably going to GA., and they grow great there! What I absolutely love about them is that their seeds don't come true, and you can get all sorts of colors. Mine is the standard pinkish purple, but once I get where I'm going, I'll buy a white and let them cross breed. Save me some seeds from yours, and we'll swap! The Consummate Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09568244709162240940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1548769932078911615.post-76291742960245798732009-08-16T10:23:16.521-07:002009-08-16T10:23:16.521-07:00I know Grace - If I would have known it would surv...I know Grace - If I would have known it would survived I may have taken it. :-) Thank you for visiting!Bren Haashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17373890474848211301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1548769932078911615.post-50302831499234379982009-08-16T09:54:10.187-07:002009-08-16T09:54:10.187-07:00Hi Bren~~ Ah, two of my favorite August-blooming p...Hi Bren~~ Ah, two of my favorite August-blooming plants. The bumblebees are crazy about the Joe Pye blossoms [as am I] and I love the tropical look of the Rose of Sharon.

I'm amazed that the 30 year old plant survived the move. That must have been some feat.

Happy gardening to you too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1548769932078911615.post-36262459658621099652009-08-16T09:49:26.373-07:002009-08-16T09:49:26.373-07:00Thank you!Thank you!Bren Haashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17373890474848211301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1548769932078911615.post-37659768994903980792009-08-16T09:38:27.049-07:002009-08-16T09:38:27.049-07:00Beautiful, you know I am going to come over and vi...Beautiful, you know I am going to come over and visit when the hot biscuits are being displayed.
