What do you miss?

I asked on my Fan Page at FACEBOOK What do you Miss?

What do you miss most about this Summers Harvest?
 Where do I begin...............

At this moment I am thinking about those wonderful heirloom Brandywine that had to be picked using two hands.  I am so thankful someone took the time to teach me how to can process my summer veggies so I can enjoy them when the garden has been put the rest.

Today we are having Lasagna  and you know I am using some of those Brandywine from my garden.   I will try and share a photo with you all later.

Hi Bren~~ Raspberries. Fresh picked and plopped into my mouth. With my everbearing varieties it was a summer-long affair. In fact there are still a few red berries but without the sunshine to sweeten them, YUCK. And raspberries just aren't the same once they've been processed. Your Brandywines look delicious. It must be very gratifying to have summer's goodness available all winter.

The corn! I love it grilled! The fresh peaches and plums!

I miss warm enough weather to be out and working in the garden. Does that count? I have some tomatoes that are ripening after being picked green. I need to make something with them tomorrow before they spoil.

I don't coz summer in this part of the globe can be very repulsive, due to very hot weather. plus during summer mosquitoes are a plenty!

I don't miss a dang thing! Our garden did not do well at all. My husband has finally decided that he needs to amend the soil....(duh)

I miss it all and wish it would have lasted longer. The red raspberry pies and the rhubarb cobblers were great. I too have enough for one more raspberry pie and many cobblers. Life is good.
