There's a Party Going on......

in the BGgarden!
Just look at these wonderful festive summer colors POPPIN' on this FABULOUS Friday in June.

Happy Returns - it just keeps on giving!

Oriental lily Blooms reaching close to 4 feet tall.

Please stop over to Tootsie Time for a look at all the Garden Bloggers participating in her Fertilize Friday Fun. I love Tootsies Peonies that are just starting to bloom.

Blanket Flower who need to be fertilized before the last blooms opens.

As I clicked over to blogger dashboard to enter some blooms for Friday I could n't help but click over to Hocking Hills Garden to look closer at her blanket flower first up on my FOLLOW list for this Bloom Friday.

This just wouldn't be a note from my garden if I didn't include one of my babies who always follow me around on my photo adventures. This day it was close to 100* ( with the humidity) and little Gracie would seek shelter from the sun in my shadow as I clicked away in the heat. In this photo she came out from between the ornamental grasses that she tried to find shade in.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend in the garden!

I know what fertlizer is for, but why did you specifically mention having to fertilize your blanket flowers? Mine are blooming all over the place, but the center of the plant is a bit bare. I suppose the blooms are just too heavy? I know that perennials often need dividing when they do this, but I just planted this last summer. It has gotten huge in one year though!

Ms. Robin - the blanket flower needs to be fertilized during the first blooms to keep her blooming all season in my neck of the woods. This is the 2nd one I planted in this spot since we have been here for six years now. '
THanks for stopping by everyone - it truly is a party over at BGgarden!

Susan - I would love to be a Master Gardener someday but I have such a hard time with all the names. I do know HOW TO GROW and put them together in the garden.

THANK You for stopping by... love that kitty in your profile!

...the yellow flower is exquisite...love the color. Your kitty is so cute (like she's prowling in the jungle!).

Sounds like your garden is doing beautifully despite the horrid heat. Here's hoping it cools down soon.

Love the gaillardia. As a side point, I never fertilized gaillardia (or most anything else expect veggies) and they do just fine. :)

I'm not a fan of tiger lillies,.. and not a fan of the color orange, ...but that photo in this post has really turned my head. How lovely! It really shows the lily's beauty!
