Sign on the Dotted Line

Do you notice I have SIGNED on a 'different' line today? While dodging the rain drops this afternoon I decided to put some ideas on my Photoshop workspace. I have been wanting to create my own unique signature to add to my photos. This is what I came up with. Let me now what you think or if you have any tips on signature / watermark making that you would like to share with us at the BGgarden.

The top three photos are just some pretty signs of the upcoming summer that I wanted to share. The 'RED - BLUE - YELLOW' theme started this morning when I ventured out to the garden to cut a small arrangement I put together in a jam canning jar. The photo below is of the yummy COFFEE CAKE MUFFINS we made this morning to enjoy with coffee on the porch with that arrangement.

The little wren collection above is just one of the many subjects from the garden I have collected to share with you on my garden blog. These are some of the FIRST shots I have ever taken in my garden of the visiting birds. This little family is living in the birdhouse we recently moved out to the pond deck.

The WEEDS are catching up with me so I am off to grab my hoe!
Thank you for stopping by my Garden this morning.

Love the signature, especially that butterfly! Your photos are so colorful and vivid. Those muffins look good too. I can just imagine a cup of coffee with a muffin!

The muffins look great. Your new signature looks very professional. It is a good idea to have a name or watermark on you high quality pictures. My wife sells art work on the net and every once in a while people write her and say her work is being reprinted in China and being sold with a frame by someone who has pulled it off the net. A watermark can deter it somewhat.
I like the colors of the flowers with your muffin. The arrangements make the food taste so much better and it adds to the enjoyment while at the table.

L.D. - that is horrible to think someone would copy your wife's work. Thank you for your words of advice.

Mildred - the muffins were yummy. I can send you the recipe or post it on blogger if you like?!

I add a signature to some of my work too,.... I have always wondered about someone just cropping it off,... and still I hate to think of putting a watermark right in the middle of a nice shot. I like the font in your signature in the shot of the muffins and flowers in the jar. I'll check back to see if you have more suggestions,... or comments yourself. I don't want to see yours or my photos lifted like L.D.'s wife's were. So bad.

I enjoyed all your photos, and haven't tried using a watermark yet. I have some blueberries I'm thinking of making some muffins with. Your arrangement and muffins looked very homey.

Your signature looks nice and not distracting. Love the yellows and blues together with the read. I also like the bird garden and noticed the little bird flying away.

Love to come here with the quiet music and it makes me want to breathe and enjoy the slower pace in life.

I don’t know which photo or flower I like more. Your flowers are really gorgeous and a birdhouse is lovely, indeed. Your garden is a wonderful place to enjoy with coffee and those yummy cakes.
I like your signature on your photos and I would like to have my own on my photos but I don’t know how to do that.

Love the flowers--I couldn't always read the watermark, but I like the font.

Wrens are my favorite summer bird and chickadees the favorite winter bird. Everything looks lovely at your place and the muffins smell delicious!

Your photos make me want to start my next book...they are amazing.

I shared them with my husband...an amature photographer....and he loved your work (or art) too!

And....the muffins make me hungry!

Those muffins look delish. How do you put a signature on your photos?

Watermarks help. Yours is very pretty and large enough to help deter the thieves. I've seen my photos all over the Internet, and it frustrates me. Beautiful photos Bren. The last collage was extremely nice.~~Dee

Thanks very much for visiting my blog,Bren, so I could know yours that is wonderful!

Your signature is very nice. Was it made with Photoshop?
I make my signature here:

http://www.picnik.com/app#/home/welcome

or with PAINT, the Windows's accessory. But you have to choose were to put the signature, because it can be cut off.

Rosamaria - Thank you for stopping by my garden via Blogger! Still playing with signature modes on Photoshop. It is great fun! Thank you for your advice. That Picnik is a great program as well as Picasa by Google.

I can't thank you all enough!
