A Gift from the Garden to share

I thought it would be fun to give you a gift from my garden that I am using as my laptop screen savor. IF you click on the image you can download the original size to use on your computer. These blooms are from the variegated grow cover other wise known as Bishops Weed which grows along the back of my shade garden. This perennial spreads like crazy.Grows in almost any type of soil and light condition. Foliage may scorch in full sun. Mowing or clipping back several times during the summer will eliminate flowers and seed as well as keeping the plant more compact. I love it but some gardeners do not recommend it because of how rapid it spreads. This ground cover grows well in Sun or Shade. I think that is marvelous if you give it space to grow. ENJOY! Please let me know if you use this image by posting a comment on my blog.

You know it wouldn't be a summer day blog entry without sharing one of my garden critters. Here is Kink who seems to be entertained by the way I look through my lens of my camera. When I turn the lens toward him he looks away as shown in the image to the right.

I Have so much to do in the garden this week to get caught up from the lack of rain and the project that need completed before Summer officially arrives next weekend. I better get busy so I can keep things blooming to share with you.

Thank you for stopping by my Garden,

I agree, your Kink is a handsome fella. Your background is pretty too. I am going to borrow it... thanks for the offering!

Kink is so "regal" in his pose. You were dismissed, like some peasant bothering him. Cats, with their "better than you" attitude.

Hi Bren, I know this as Snow on the Mountain...and, yes, it does spread like crazy!! The variegation is pretty though. Your kitty's profile could be our kitty, Lacey..color, dark lines, everything..I did a double take seeing him.

Kink could be my cat Bean's brother, with the same aversion to the camera lense!
As always, a beautiful & peaceful visit to your site.
Happy end-of-spring, Bren.
