I know the are suppose to be beneficial, eating bugs and slugs etc...but I am very afraid of them. Thought my little dog found the first one here today, but thank goodness it was our turtle instead! Happy gardening, Sonia/Miss Bloomers

Is it a frog or toad? I can't tell them apart :) I keep hoping we'll get some in our pond, but none have found it yet. I know bullfrogs can be very loud.

* He's so cute! We have frogs that literally LINE our pool in the summer months here in the desert~~~ and they SING and TALK and "RIVET" alllllllll night long.... (SOMETIMES it annoys my husband, but I just ADORE listening to them!!! And, you really CAN'T hear them if you're inside the house, but OUTSIDE at the pool at night??? It's a SYMPHONY!!!). Your froggie here is a cutie!!! Warm wishes & thanks for the smile, Linda *

I'm not sure if you're happy about this or not. We've got tree frogs and although they're cute, they sure can be noisy when they get to croaking. But given the choice, we'll take 'em. :)

Lol yes, 'ours' are too! I love to see the frogs in the garden. Only yesterday hubby and I saw one that looked like it was wearing camouflage gear. :O) It was a mix of light and dark greens with touchs of pale yellow.

I was hoping we would have a few of them here but strangely they don't seem to be in our yard. We have lizards but not enough to eat all the bugs.

There is something nice about hearing the frogs singing. Shows a good healthy environment!

We have a frog in our pond recently also. It can be so noisy! We usually have one overwinter, and it moves from our pond to the neighbor's.

I need a bunch of those around here to eat all of the slugs which are also back. Actually I don't think they ever left:)

Somehow, the frog's singing is soothing.

We are in the country so the sound of the frogs and toads is welcomed. I don't know who is the loudest the toads in the River that runs along our property of the frogs enjoying a spring night in the pond. They were in competition last night to see who was the loudest that is for sure.

NO SHARON.. I am not holding the frog. That is what my son is for! He was holding that big 'cat fish' a few weeks ago that I featured as well. (grin)

Happy Weekend.... and Thank you all for stopping by! You truly made my morning to find so many wonderful garden comments.
