Saturday Winter Wonderland Returns

When I went to sleep last night it felt like Christmas Eve when I was a kid. I was very excited to hear the possibilities of having some snow in our area. It has been a cold and drab winter so far in my neck of the woods. Luckily, we have had some snow and YES we were blessed with a blanket of white over the garden on Christmas Morning. This excitement was because they were reporting some winter fun snow. This is snow that allows you to get out and build a snow man and pull out the tubes to attached to the back of the snowmobile.

What a surprise to wake up and find that we had at least six inches on the ground at sunrise and another 3-5 inches expected during the day.

Here are some shots in the morning off of my bedroom deck. Boo Kitty does not look to happy to be an outside kitty. My Aussie Olivia was having a great time chasing a bunny around in the back until I caught her.

Late afternoon we had to venture out to town for a game that was scheduled in advance. Of course everyone else was closed but our game. It took me 50 minutes drive a normally 20 minute drive to the sports activity. Thank GOD Mama's Taxi has 4 wheel drive. I did reward myself with a wonderful cup of coffee at my favorite coffee stop in town.
Fun Images from the coffee shop stop.

So tomorrow will be a day filled with stay at home fun. The snowmobiles are ready to go and the soup makings are in my cabinet ready to be used in my favorite recipe. Maybe I will share that with you tomorrow. Before I sign off I want to share with you one of my favorite photos from my winter garden today.

Happy Snow Day from my garden in the COLD Midwest!

Hi,

Thank you for visiting my blog and your lovely comments.

I have just had a quick peek at yours now but i will definately be back again soon for a proper look around.

Olivia is lovely and your snow photo's are really nice. I like the way you put them in collages.

I hope we get some snow soon, my two would love it.
