The 'reds' of a wild rose bush that blooms near the meadow. 
More red scattered all around the edges of the woods. I am not sure what this bush is but I am sure to look for it while it is green in the spring.

It is amazing to me how the winter makes the garden a whole new world to discover. This is the first time that I have noticed the color red along the wood line of our property back near the meadow. I know I looked for color back in that area in the summer in search of more then just green. I had found some wild trumpet vine and a cluster of wild phlox blooming in light purple. My favorite is the wild rose bushes that bloom in white and pink along that walk to the woods. I will be sure to pay attention to what this plant is next time everything is blooming in the summer.
