Thank you Jen!

Thank You - Scrapbook Style!

Last week was my 39th Birthday and my sweet friend who is living in Russia sent me this wonderful Reindeer Ornament. You can only imagine my surprise when I opened this gift from my dear friend who lives so very far away. A special thanks to her 'little helpers' who sent this my way. You truly made my day one to remember.

The adorable reindeer is nestled in the poinsettia arrangement that is on my Master Bedroom fireplace mantel. It is the perfect spot for this showy buck when the lights are dimmed and the Christmas lights on the garland hit the sparkles on him just right. ADORABLE!

The scrapbook papers and elements are from BlinkDesign.com. My ententions was the play with this techinque with hopes of getting better at it. I did this layout with my friend Leslie in mind. I hope to sit down with her one things slow down and show her how fun this is. I have been playing around with Photoshop and digital scrap booking for a short time and I am totally amazed at all the possiblilites there are. The layouts are endless! I find it hard to get back to my paper cutter and glue after discovering the wonderful world of digital.

I also want to comment on my tree toppers. My children are not too excited with what I came up with. Perhaps it is because I have been under the weather and my creativeness just wasn't there. I am sure before Christmas Morning there will be something new up to of that Great Room Tree filled with birds nest, houses, birds , fruits and all the wonderful things that remind me of the garden. I miss the blooms outside so much just thinking about it. Spring will be here soon enough. I will keep telling myself that because the 1st day of Winter has yet to arrive in my neck of the woods.

Merry Christmas - Happy Decorating!
