Peonies Struggle in the heat.
We are experiencing some super hot and dry weather this past week. It is sad to see some of my favorite late spring flowers like the iris' die back. The peonies bloomed over night and now they are wilting due to the heat. This is one time I wish I could just STOP THE CLOCK to enjoy the spring blooms that are leaving too soon.
They say cooler weather is on the way as a cool front comes through later tonight. I might just start doing these quick little cool down breaks with a blog and a glass of water when the heat is like this.
